The vision for Pop began with a desire to create a space where our children feel free to be themselves and worship God in an exciting and relevant way.

Snap and Crackle, our puppet monsters, lead us through our Pop Party and make us all laugh whilst discussing Bible stories and linking them with clips from some of our favourite films. This is all mixed up with our fab, loud and funky worship music videos that we dance along with on our super cool dance mat, complete with bubble machine and air guitars.
Our prayers are out of this world, our 6ft
inflatable rocket blasts our praises to God. Not forgetting we have Mini Pop gobbling up questions from the little Poppets and then putting them to our resident God expert to answer on the spot!

Each week has been themed with fancy dress and relevant film clips, songs and Bible story. Since we launched in September we have been following the church in our study of the Armour of God, linking this with our favourite superheroes, looking at how Jesus is our superhero and how we can be superheroes for Him.

It’s been super to see the children engaging and excited to be a part of Pop, already they are growing in confidence singing and dancing away in praise and eagerly shouting up their prayers to God. So far we have had 12 children aged 1-6 years bringing their parents or grandparents along too. It has been great to have some of our older young people joining the team and helping us lead as well.

Points Of Prayer… (or POP!)

To get our young people fired up in a meaningful way with God, that they continue to grow and overflow with His love and passion for Christ. That they feel a valuable part of our church and confident in worshiping in their own way, developing their own style and ideas as they grow within the church to become its future leaders.

To have the full support of the church family, both practically and in prayer. Then as the children’s confidence grows and they begin to invite their friends and families they are valued and welcomed and will catch on to the passion that underpins POP.
