Last week we had some daffodils for Mothering Sunday.
For this 5th Sunday in Lent here are some spring bulbs
and a word from Isaiah 35:1 to hopefully brighten your day

This week we would have circulated Easter Offering envelopes at Church, however in these difficult days that is obviously not possible. However there is still a way that you can give to this important fund. If you click on the give.net button below you can make a donation on the S Chad give net page. All you need to do is enter the amount you wish to give and then where it says include any details add the words Easter Offering in the scroll down box.  We can then identify it when it hits the church account. You can do all this anonymously. Many thanks for considering this.

We are looking at alternative forms of worship and will post here and on the Facebook site.  In the meantime, there are useful resources for worship at home on the

Methodist Website and also below

People in exile and people of hope

The Revd Ruth Gee, Assistant Secretary of the Methodist Conference, reflects on how we can offer hope in the desert of fear that coronavirus has brought to communities in this blog.

Serving neighbours and speaking with friends

During this global crisis, we have a unique opportunity to be Gospel people: to act lovingly, speak graciously, and live humbly for the common good of all people. In addition to taking the necessary precautions, there are steps you can take to serve neighbours and speak with friends in this time of great anxiety and isolation.

The Methodist Podcast

This week's podcast discusses how the Methodist Church is continuing to respond to the on-going crisis, how families can be supported, we hear an update from the Methodist Church in Italy and how the National Methodist Choir of Great Britain is bringing the world together in song.
