URGENT - URGENT - URGENT

A request from Chair of District, Andrew Lunn

"The Youth event 3Generate happens in November.
This year Methodists have been invited to write letters to the young people attending:
a single side of A4 to say something of your experience as a fellow member of the community of faith.

So far only 200 letters have been received;
but they were hoping for 1000!

If you are able to write a letter yourself, that would be great or to encourage others to do the same.
It needs to be done in the next two weeks before the end of October."

To find out more details click on the 1000 letters box above

Thank you for supporting our young people

Thank you to all who collected with Action for Children boxes.
£172.91 was donated and a Thank You letter is on the lounge notice board.

hygiene items, wrapped sweets

Leaflets entitled 'How to Pack Your Shoebox Gift' are available from the table in the

Boxes may be brought to church any Sunday up to 18th November

Your box will

On Sunday, 4 August 1918, the fourth anniversary of the declaration of war,
King George V and Queen Mary joined members of the House of Commons
and the House of Lords for a special service at the Church of Saint Margaret, Westminster.
The King had asked that 4 August 1918 should be observed as a National Day of Prayer:

100 days later the First World War ended

On 4 August 2018 churches across the country, across the spectrum of denominations, start
100 days of prayer, peace and reconciliation.
