am writing to convey my most sincere thanks for the work
that you and your group or organisation has been doing to support
the people of Oldham during the Coronavirus crisis. It is such a
worrying and critical time for so many and the work and
volunteering that you and your team have been doing has made a
huge difference to people in Oldham.
been an unbelievable response from the 1200 voluntary, community
and social enterprises in the borough and lots of good
neighbour and mutual aid groups setting up and working tirelessly to
help those that need it.
that things will be different now for our communities and
for the way we work and volunteer alongside them, but we know
that the new relationships, overwhelming kindness and generosity
will last well beyond the Coronavirus crisis.

Churches Together has set up a virtual prayer room for Thy Kingdom Come
and is looking for Christians to sign up. The concept is that every hour is
covered with people filling one or more slots. The hope is that
the whole period between Ascension and Pentecost will be filled with people
Greater Manchester joining together in prayer.

Coronavirus Assessment Hub
The Integrated Care
Centre, on New Radcliffe Street, will now care 24/7 for patients
with potential Coronavirus symptoms
(it is now closed as a walk-in centre). The centre will provide advice over the phone, video calls and
face-to-face consultations or GP home visits when appropriate.
The service is only
for people who have Coronavirus symptoms and are unwell,
but do not need emergency care.
