A Thank You from the Hollands

We just wanted to express our deepest gratitude to you all for your incredible generosity, kindness, love, prayers and gifts that we have received and appreciated before during and after our last week(s) with you.

We've loved being at South Chad and will miss sharing in worship and fellowship with you.
10 years is going to take a while to get over!

We will continue to pray for all that God is doing with you and has planned for your future.
Keep trusting in our awesome God.
Never look back and wish, just keep
your hand to the plough and your eyes fixed on Jesus.
You have everything you
need.

Every blessing Darren, Ros, Grace and Seth.

Sunday 3rd September
Welcome Service for our new minister
Ian Heath and his wife Jill,
and also our new Children's and Youth Pastor,
Stuart Samuels

Ian will be leading South Chad Covenant Service in the morning.
This will be followed at 2.30pm by a Welcome Service with
guests from the O&S Circuit, Manchester & Stockport District, local churches and community as well as family
and friends of Ian and Jill, and Stuart.

In between these services we are proposing to have a faith lunch at church, main course (savoury) only, then after the Welcome Service we will have tea and cakes etc. There won't be lists as we have had previously, but please bring contributions for lunch, and also homemade cakes etc. for tea. Thank you.

We hope everyone will be able to come for the whole day to welcome Ian, Jill and Stuart and share in this
special time in the life of South Chad Church.

Church Situations Vacant

Due to a lot of illness in church recently and also to the loss of the families above, there are a number of roles which will need to be filled from September. It would be good if you can think and pray as to whether God wants you to take on something to help. The list includes:-

Kidsworx, Bible Kids and Creche
(not necessarily every week, but on
a rota basis, could be as leaders or occasional helpers)
Pastoral Visitors
Missions Secretary
Gardening
Flower Lady
Communion Steward
Digital Projector Operator

Please speak to any of the leadership team for further info or to talk about volunteering.

Welcome Team

During the next few weeks the Welcome Team will also be losing several key members
and it will be really good if anyone else can step in and help out. This is a quite
important role as it is the first contact visitors have with the church on a Sunday morning,
The rota is on a 4 monthly basis which roughly means 2 Sundays over that period.
If you feel
you would like to help please see Geoff or Barbara Howarth

Thank you

The total amount collected from Home Collection Boxes for 2017 was Ł208
Thanks to all involved

Do you have any furniture or household goods that you don't need?
If so the ARK would like to use it to give to people who DO need it.
ARK is
a Christian organisation operating from the Salt Cellar who collect and distribute furniture and household goods to those in need. Contact Michelle Delaney 07748483385   Full details on the Church notice board.

Church Notices
Occasionally we would like to have a 'Family Focus' item in the Notices where you can write a small piece about yourself or your family (approximately 100 words). It can include things like how you came to attend church, or how you became a Christian or what God has been saying to you recently. It is open to the whole church, young and old and the aim is to help us get to know and encourage each other and  as a means to pray for each other. Please contact Jennie Gilpin:  jenniegilpin@hotmail.co.uk

Giving: sets of weekly offering envelopes are available, as are Gift Aid declarations, from the table in the lounge in church.

You can also give online through give.net via the red button (right) and at the top of this page. If you are in a UK tax paper, please consider using Gift Aid for regular giving or one-off donations.
